WHY do we supply 2 or three amplifiers rather that just a 'Big One'. ?
a) Because . . . . This ensures that the amplifiers are not run so hard, and will therefore run cooler. A cooler amp, is a happy amp, and lasts longer than a hot one. And b) if the worst ever happens and for one reason or another you do have a breakdown, and one of your amps fails, you will still have either one or two amps to carry on with. However when you are only using a 'single amp' . . . and it goes PHUT !! . . . . . well . . . hmmmmmmm
We recommend 'Discharge' lighting effects ! Why ? Because these are designed to run ‘all night’, and are brighter than normal 'halogen' lights, plus they are the correct colour temperature. The ‘bulbs’ are slightly more expensive to purchase initially, however they are less fragile, and last a lot . . . l o n g e r . . .(if used a typical 10 hours a week will probably last years !!)
The typical cause of speaker / amp failure is due to the sound system not being powerful enough. What’s that you say ? Yup, if the system isn’t good enough for the size of venue that it’s being played in, it will inevitably be pushed to the upper limits of it’s usable performance ratio. Over time, and surpisingly not that long, things will start to go wrong. Running hot, won’t do your amp any favours at all. (see above) The system you want is one that’s big enough for the venues you play at . . . . plus a bit more !! Always leave yourself some ‘headroom’! Remember you can always turn it down !
